Increasing Community Resilience through Strengthening of Road Infrastructure and Green Works in Kitgum District

The project involved road improvement using do-nou technology, tree planting, construction of rocket Lorena stoves and waste management in Namokora and Lagoro Subcounty.

• Provided temporary employment to 150 beneficiaries.
• 350 Rocket Lorena energy saving stoves constructed.
• 650 linear metres of impassable rural access road improved using Do-nou technology,
• 32.9  hectares of indigenous and fast-growing trees planted,
• 141 teen-age girls trained in making re-usable sanitary towels,
• 1472 pupils in waste management,
• Twenty CBOs were formed
